I absolutely love cooking with lamb—it’s rich, flavorful, and incredibly versatile. With Easter fast approaching, it's the perfect time to showcase this delicious meat in dishes that bring family and friends together around the table. Whether you prefer something classic, aromatic, or with a modern and garlicky twist (of course), these three lamb recipes will impress everyone at your Easter feast (I am feeling very organised at the moment!)
If you've been following my ongoing battle with pantry moths, I'm thrilled to report that there hasn't been a single sighting in the last six days. While my dining room table is still serving as a makeshift pantry since I was advised to wait at least 14 days before restocking, things are looking very promising. Fingers crossed we are in the clear.
If you are ever unlucky enough to face a pantry moth invasion yourself, let me know. I would be happy to send you a summary of all my best tips to help you tackle them head on.
And last but not least, just a friendly reminder that my US book, Garlic, Olive Oil & Everything Mediterranean, is out in the world and I would so love if you pre-order it. It showcases almost 100 Mediterranean recipes that I hold dear to my Italian and Spanish heart.
That’s it from me this week and I will catch you next week!
What’s cooking this week
There are a few flavour combinations that are always a winner: lemon and fish, chocolate and berries, and lamb and garlic. That’s why this recipe is all about celebrating this classic flavour combination. I’ve used lots of butter and garlic to create these juicy, tender honey garlic butter lamb cutlets, and whether the temperature is dropping or rising, this is a special meal to satisfy all year ‘round.
Easter means something significant for us Australians: it’s often the last weekend of warmer weather, and it's the perfect time to make these crumbed lamb cutlets. This dish was one of my childhood favourites; my mum always cooked the tender, juicy lamb and crispy golden breadcrumb coating to perfection. With a few simple ingredients and 15 minutes of prep time, you'll be able to enjoy these cutlets in no time!
Before anyone thinks I’ve made a typo, I am going to announce right now that this recipe has a lot of garlic. Like, more than you think. It has a total of 40 cloves, and when I tell you, it’s worth it - I mean it. It’s worth it. Would I lead you astray? I’m the garlic girl! I present to you - garlicky slow lamb shoulder.
All you had to say was GARLIC! 😂
You're lovely and I enjoy your videos.
