We’re back with another delicious episode of One Pan Meals and yes, I’ve reached for the orzo again. But I just absolutely love cooking with it! Orzo might just be the ultimate pasta for a one pan pasta dish. It soaks up every bit of flavour in the pan like a little sponge, so not a single drop of goodness goes to waste. It’s comforting, quick and endlessly versatile, basically everything I want on a busy weeknight.
This time, we’re going coastal with a creamy white wine prawn orzo. Think plump, juicy prawns (or shrimp as my US friends like to call them) that are coated in herbs and spices, cooked in a garlicky white wine sauce, finished with a swirl of cream and a good handful of parmesan cheese.
The orzo soaks it all up and turns it into a silky, rich one pan dinner that feels fancy but couldn’t be easier to make. If you’re a seafood lover or just looking to impress someone without the pile of dishes, this one’s for you.
