The garlic girls gift guide
Homemade Christmas presents for all the garlic girlies in your life
This holiday season is a time where we are showered by gifts. But nothing says I love you more than a gift that is homemade. Every year, to no ones surprise, I make copious amounts of garlic confit to gift to my friends and family. It’s always such a treasured gift that seems to get the most welcomed response because it’s something that has been made from scratch and with love.
With Christmas music playing in the background, I set a day aside to peel and slow roast garlic. Half of the garlic is stored into beautiful mason jars that I decorate with Christmas charms and a red velvet bow tie. While the other half is mixed together with butter and herbs to make a delicious garlic compound butter. Both items can be stored in the fridge for up to a month and have so many uses!
To take it that little bit further, you could print up some cute recipe cards for all the ways your friends and family can use their garlic confit and butter! I have a whole category dedicated to all my garlic confit recipes over on my website.
If you’re looking for a last Christmas gift idea than look no further! Instead of fighting those shopping crowds, unwind with some garlic peeling (it’s extremely mediative) and give the ultimate garlic girl gift.
I am also going to squeeze in one new recipe before I say farewell! It’s my cream cheese and garlic butter baked potatoes that are an absolute joy to eat! They are incredibly indulgent but nothing quite says indulgent or comfort food like this time of year.
Have a lovely week! x
